Saved me a lot of money and time! I was after the car that was over 17 years old. There were just a few model nation wide. I couldn't see the first car myself so I had to find a reliable service for this. I checked the AA and RAC. They have third party engineers and I have seen a few bad stories so trust was not there. Found carexamer on comparison website and went ahead with it. Paid for Standard inspection. The car was sold as FSH, low mileage and great nick in general. I have been informed through the process via texts and emails. I received a report via email and detailed report on the portal. And oh dear oh dear... I have dodged a bullet there! Rust everywhere! Inspector looked in places I could not get into without a jack and that particular model knowledge! Battery was surrounded by water, the whole space under the car has been corroded like it's been parked in a river every night. Subframes, servo, brake lines, even discs were rusted!! It would cost me twice as much to fix the car in a first place.
