It’s very simple you have your personal account with full control. Cancel, edit or add notes and receive updates about your booking. View inspection progress and view all additional data you added at the time of the booking. Remember inspectors work for you and support your interests.
Understanding your report
Read your report before deciding whether to buy the car. Use the findings to discuss its condition with the seller and decide what to do next.
Your report describes the vehicle's condition, recommendations, areas needing attention or repair, estimated repair costs and a vehicle summary. Read these alongside the scope of the service you booked.

Appointment and report timings
Inspectors can inspect vehicles at any UK location (and soon to be worldwide – watch this space!). Car Inspections are available 6 days a week, at any time between 8am – 8pm. Your vehicle inspection report will be available within 5 hours after the inspection begins.
Details to prepare and what happens next
Booking with CarExamer.com is simple and quick, and with anytime cancellation, there is nothing to lose. Follow these simple steps:
- Add your contact details, and those of the vendor.
- Choose your preferred date and time.
- Add background info and notes for the inspector – the more detail you can give, the better prepared we are to undergo your vehicle inspection. Note down any concerns or questions, links to the vehicle advert (if online) and vehicle history check.
- Your designated vehicle inspector will arrive to the agreed location to inspect the vehicle at the designated time.
- Once the car inspection is started, you will receive a text notification that your vehicle inspection has been started.
- Once the car inspection is complete, you will receive a text notification that your vehicle report is available to view in your CarExamer.com account.
- Your card will be charged, and you’ll receive confirmation and a link to view your report by email.
- All inspection reports come with report sharable link and should be shared with seller for transparency - inspectors do advise sellers on some faults due to open transparency policy, especially where safety is compromised or defect is dangerous or unsafe as we encourage this as it’s required for fair negotiation process.
