All inspections are mobile and inspectors are all specially trained mobile mechanics using CarExamer blueprint process. They will arrive at the appointment in their own vehicle, with all the equipment needed to carry out a pre-purchase vehicle inspection at the location you have provided.
All inspectors on platform are fully qualified min entry Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair. All are experienced mechanics min with 10 year experience. All inspectors have liability insurance and trade insurance for full peace of mind.
Reports are designed to give an honest and true representation of the condition of the vehicle you intend to buy. Inspectors do not offer a warranty you must purchase extended warranty for future failures. The report will highlight all relevant information which could impact the value of the vehicle, including condition, recommendations, items needing attention, repair estimates and a full summary so as a buyer you are fully informed.
You can cancel or reschedule your online booking at any time through the Platform before an Inspector accepts your booking. You have the right to cancel a booking without charge when giving a minimum of 4 hours’ notice before the scheduled arrival time specified in the booking. If less than 4 hours’ notice is given, we reserve the right to make a late cancellation charge of £60 on behalf of the Inspector. You do not have a right to change or cancel a Vehicle Inspection if less than 2 hours left to arrival time or once the Vehicle Inspection has commenced, or has been completed, and in those circumstances the full inspection fee will be payable. To change or cancel an online booking please let us know through the Platform (your account). In event of cancellation where extra data is added only inspection booking fee will be refunded due to vehicle data is available instantly via email and in your platform account.
Yes. We use SSL encryption to process secure payments through our provider Stripe. Stripe is used by many major brands to process online payments, and is completely secure. When making a booking a reservation is created on your bank card and payment is taken only once the inspection is complete, unless you book inspection more than 6 days in advance in this instance reservation is not possible and CarExamer will keep funds secure until inspection is complete.
