I think the report was an excellent quality and Klavs pointed out that the rear adaptive shock was leaking. I obtained a quote for £1800 so went back to the seller to ask for £500 off the car towards the cost. He refused stating that Klavs stated that it was the best Z4 he had inspected. I'm sure that's not the case however as the person who paid of the report, I would have expected no comments to the seller to protect my position. I am building surveyor myself and never discuss my finding with the sellers as my client might want to negotiate. The reason I am mentioning it is that it will make me consider fi the strict policy that the RAC follow would have bene better for my position. I am not buying the car so whilst the inspection has protected me from expenditure, it might have cost me the negotiation.
