Salvatore Performance Reviews Investigated

CarExamer Ltd has completed a full investigation into a recent series of false and defamatory reviews posted across platforms including Trustpilot and Google Business. These reviews are believed to be linked to an individual associated with Salvatore Performance Ltd.

The Background: Porsche Cayenne Inspection

The reviews began shortly after a vehicle inspection was carried out on a Porsche Cayenne S Hybrid Tiptronic S by CarExamer inspector Klavs Simkus on 18th December 2024. The inspection was requested by a buyer, referred to here as Mr. P, who booked the service directly through the CarExamer.com platform.

Mr. P arranged the inspection prior to committing to a purchase from Salvatore Performance Ltd, with full consent signed by the seller prior to the inspection.

Inspection Findings

Following the inspection, Mr. P chose not to proceed with the purchase due to several faults discovered and reported by the inspector, including:

  • Air suspension fault warnings
  • Active engine management system warning light
  • Vehicle not ready for road testing
  • Signs of previous accident repair work

The full inspection report—supported by video footage and a follow-up consultation call—clearly documented these issues. No complaints were made via the CarExamer resolution center, nor directly to Inspector Klavs Simkus by Salvatore Performance Ltd during or immediately after the inspection.

The vehicle has remained unsold for some time—likely due to the holiday period and inspection findings—which may have contributed to the escalation of the situation.

Inspector Wrongly Accused

Subsequent online reviews included allegations that Inspector Simkus caused damage to the vehicle. However, this claim has been proven false via the inspection report and supporting video evidence. Mr. P also confirmed that no such accusations were made by the seller at the time of or after the inspection. His decision not to purchase the vehicle was based entirely on the report findings.

The vehicle’s diagnostics also indicated that fault codes had been recently cleared prior to the inspection, with zero kilometres driven since the deletions, as recorded by the onboard diagnostics system.

Tracing the Reviews

A coordinated pattern of negative reviews was discovered on Google and Trustpilot, all posted under a user profile (“SZ”) directly linked to Salvatore Performance Ltd. CarExamer investigators were able to:

  • Match the profile content to vehicles sold by Salvatore Performance
  • Trace review photos to a white Mercedes G63 previously listed on the Salvatore Performance website—a vehicle identified as previously significantly damaged
  • Confirm online video delivery of the vehicle, now marked as sold
  • Establish connections between the profile and a director of Salvatore Performance Ltd

Note: There is nothing wrong with selling a previously damaged vehicle as long as the consumer is made fully aware and gives informed consent.

These reviews appear to be aimed at damaging the reputation of CarExamer Ltd and Inspector Klavs Simkus, despite no formal complaint or evidence provided not being submitted via our resolution process, nor directly to the inspector—who is registered as an independent professional on the CarExamer platform.

Our Commitment to Transparency

Final Statement

The reviews traced to Salvatore Performance Ltd are being addressed through appropriate legal channels. CarExamer Ltd reserves the right to take further legal action if misleading and defamatory behavior continues, and if the identified reviews are not removed from Google and Trustpilot.

We encourage anyone who has experienced similar situations to report them to relevant consumer protection authorities. We also call on all parties—customers, dealers, and industry peers—to maintain respectful, honest, and constructive communication across all platforms.
