That\u2019s what creates the rattle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On <strong>AMG versions<\/strong>, the noise comes from the wastegate disc tapping against the actuator arm when it\u2019s open.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Basically, it\u2019s just a side effect of the way the turbo system works \u2014 not a broken part or anything dangerous however it shouldn&#8217;t make a noise but Mercedes want&#8217;s to make it sound like it&#8217;s not a big issue clearly the valve disc has too much of the play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Is There a Fix?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u2705 If You Have a Regular Mercedes (Not AMG)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes, there\u2019s a <strong>simple software tweak<\/strong> that your mechanic or dealer can do with Mercedes\u2019 diagnostic system (called <strong>Xentry<\/strong>).
